We’re pleased to announce an update to VibePay that lays the groundwork for our latest leap forward. Today’s update encompasses features like the ability to block, report and unblock users, a filter for offensive language and harmful links that may be used and sent in requests or payment notes. Plus, push notifications when someone sends you a reaction. These tweaks form the foundations for direct messaging, which will see VibePay assume completely new functionality, as a comprehensive and bank agnostic tool for payments AND communication.
Some of you may be aware that we have been talking about direct messaging, and testing it, for a little while already. The fantastic work that our tireless developers have undertaken has invited us to question exactly how we can make this new functionality as useful as possible, and how it should be packaged, for the range of different people who use VibePay. In the not so distant future, you’ll see answers to those questions, in the form of VibeVerified. A huge step forward for our entire team, and community. We can’t wait to share it with you.
Additionally, when you update your app to the latest version, you’ll be pleased to notice a complete refresh in UI when making payments and requests from the Channels screen, whilst searching for users has been refined. We’ve also added screens to remind users to update their app, so no one misses out.
There is so much to be excited about, and this is just the beginning. Let us know what you think, your feedback always makes a huge difference to what we do.
